Trump Was Wrong
We do care and it’s not a desecration
It's just as important to stand up against what's wrong
as it is to stand up for what's right.

Perhaps one of the most compassionate, generous, and engaged people in the world, Americans are perfectly capable of considering multiple topics at the same time. We can, for instance, be heartbroken for and caring toward the people devastated by the flooding in North Carolina, Texas, and New Mexico ... the fires of Los Angeles and Lahaina ... and, at the same time, be concerned and outraged over the continued coverup of the government’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, the exploding debt, increased spending, the open border, illegal immigration, inflation, the endless flood of money and arms to Israel, abortion and so much more.
Yes, Mr. President, those of us who are awake (and those who are awakening) are just that good. Few of us are single-issue citizens. And, despite the pointed barbs from both sides of the aisle, few of us are susceptible to the cult of personality.
Not only was president Trump wrong to lash out at a reporter asking AG Bondi a question about Jeffrey Epstein, he created doubt and division amongst his own political base while throwing fuel on the fire of his opponents’ assertions of corruption.
Ultimately, the president all but assured that this issue will NEVER go away.
Pretending to be outraged that someone would ask a serious question about Epstein ... at a time that Trump called both a time of national success and national tragedy ... was an awful look for a president who has done nothing but promise transparency and accountability.
We may never know the reasons for the decision to suddenly pull a 180-degree turn and claim that there was never a client list and that there were never videos of prominent people doing horrible things, but what we do know is the shift to complete opaqueness goes against everything that he and Bondi and Patel and Bongino promised. And the American voter will never forget that.
And it should absolutely make the world ask: “Why?“
From testimony and trial evidence to the Ghislane Maxwell's conviction (on chargers of sex trafficking young victims ... uh, to no one?), from victim statements to the attorney general's own statements, from the extensive investigative journalsim of Whitney Webb and her book One Nation Under Blackmail to Michael Baden's report, ... there is both smoke AND heat so we KNOW the fire is nearby.
Mr. President, the American people are not that stupid nor easily deterred. This was a vain attempt to intimidate the press and the American people to prevent questions about a monster that you helped inspire. Poorly played, Mr. President.
That is not what the American voter chose at the ballot box. They chose transparency and accountability and the president will not intimidate those for whom this is a central principle. He has, in a single press conference, attempted to crush the hopes that many held for the freedom and prosperity of future generations.
When so much is promised, and so little is delivered, disappointment, frustration, and anger result; Suspicion rises, trust crumbles, and confidence is shaken ... perhaps irreparably. The President took a very YUGE step in the wrong direction with this one. We expect more and we demand better from this president and his administration.
This unforced error certainly raises the suspicion that this is an attempt to protect the rich and powerful … perhaps his friends … maybe much of the donor class ... perhaps himself. While Epstein‘s reported crimes and his cause of his death are important issues to many, the greater issue for most is the cover-up, government complicity, and lack of promised transparency and, ultimately, accountability.
The Trump administration’s present and newfound stance on the entire Jeffrey Epstein case is absolutely a bridge too far. The American people lent him their power on the promise of transparency and the potential of draining the cesspool we know as the District of Criminals. With one action, Trump has both chosen to turn his back on the patriots who once again drove him into the Oval Office while he simultaneously demonstrates that the swamp has most likely consumed him.
If there's a compelling reason why this was done, the American people ABSOLUTELY have a right to know what that reason is.
The level of betrayal that so many feel toward Patel, Bongino, Bondi, and Trump will be extremely hard to get past. The American people in general, and Trump supporters in particular, hoped for and voted for better than this. They certainly deserve better.
This administration must change course quickly or they will lose everything. The independent media and the voices on the right are NOT like their leftist counterparts who put ideology over process and actions and accountability. The ends do NOT justify the means for constitutionally-minded Americans.
In the end, this one - seemingly insignificant - action, may serve as a rallying point for those to whom the Constitution and their personal liberties stand far larger than party and personality.
