"Just like them," that's the vibe you threw

Sometimes the best thing you can do is let politicians speak. That's why I fully and whole-heartedly support the first amendment. 'Cause sooner or later, we're all gonna tell you just how ignorant we are. Myself included. The difference is that normal folks can listen to the words that just came out of their mouth and actually reflect, analyze, and admit to just how stupid that sounded.

Politicians? They're not capable of the last three steps of that process. In fact, they're more likely to double down on stupid.

Enter Gavin d'Racist Newsom. His words betray his actual thoughts and feelings. And it's glorious to watch. This piece was inspired by Gavin Newsom's racist gaffe.

Just Like Them

[Intro]

Yo, from the Golden State to ATL,

Governor Gav tryin' to sell his tale,

But he tripped up, slipped up, what a fail,

Talkin' dyslexia, but it hit like hail.

[Verse 1]

Pull up to the stage, book in hand,

Young Man in a Hurry, think he's grand,

Crowd mostly Black, he wanna bond,

But his words explode like a bomb.

"I'm like you," he say with that grin,

"960 SAT, where do I begin?

Can't read a speech, gotta memorize,

Sweaty palms, low scores, no surprise."

Audience thinkin', "Hold up, what?

You comparin' us to your academic rut?

Privileged dude from San Fran elite,

Tryna act street, but it's incomplete."

[Chorus]

Gav, oh Gav, what you tryna prove?

Tellin' Black folks you're dumb too?

"Just like them," that's the vibe you threw,

Racist slip or just a fool? We see through!

Can't read, can't score, but you run the state,

Outta touch, elite, seal your fate.

Satirical spit on your book tour game,

Newsom's gaffe, forever in shame!

[Verse 2]

MAGA jumpin' on it, Nicki too,

Tim Scott tweetin', "What he do?"

Megyn Kelly screamin' on the screen,

"Called 'em dumb!" – twist the scene.

But Gav push back, "Fake outrage, yo,

Dyslexia story, not a low blow."

Still, the clip got 35 mil views,

Viral mess, light the fuse.

Mayor Dickens defend, "Vulnerability share,"

But the crowd like, "Man, do you care?

You fly in private, we grindin' hard,

Your 'like you' hit us like a wildcard."

[Bridge]

Yo, dyslexia real, respect the struggle,

But context king, don't make it rubble.

White savior complex in a hip suit,

Tryna relate, but it's absolute moot.

From Cali chaos to Georgia stage,

Your words rage, turn the page.

[Outro]

So next time, Gov, think before you speak,

Don't assume struggles make us weak.

Hip-hop truth, urban beat drop,

Satire sharp, we ain't gonna stop.

Peace out, ATL to the Bay,

Newsom's lesson: Watch what you say!
