We Crossed the Line
(instrumental intro)
(Verse 1)
In the fields of BC on November 7,
A flock of ostriches fightin' to stay alive.
Not all were sick, some were healin' fine,
Others never felt the fever's line.
But the CFIA came knockin' at the door,
Ordered 'em all gone, no questions anymore.
(Pre-Chorus)
No trial, no test, no mercy in sight,
Just a cold command under northern light.
(Chorus)
We crossed the line, between right and wrong,
From protectin' life to a slaughter song.
Between pride and lies, good and the grave,
A nation that buries what it should save.
We crossed the line, now the only way's ahead,
Through the mud and blood, where the innocent bled.
(Verse 2)
RCMP stood tall, but not for the just,
Enforcin' silence, breakin' the trust.
Guardin' the killin', shieldin' the state,
From eyes that see and hearts that hate.
Witnesses watched as the shots rang out,
Birds left to suffer, twistin' about.
(Pre-Chorus)
Men in the muck with blades in hand,
Cuttin' heads off in this frozen land.
(Chorus)
We crossed the line, between right and wrong,
From protectin' life to a slaughter song.
Between pride and lies, good and the grave,
A nation that buries what it should save.
We crossed the line, now the only way's ahead,
Through the mud and blood, where the innocent bled.
(guitar solo)
(Bridge)
Where's the science, where's the law we claim?
Where's compassion in this cruel game?
We trust the process, but what process now?
Bureaucrats hidin', politicians bow.
We're the people, we run this great land,
Not acronyms or enforcers' hand.
This was the turn, the warnin' so clear,
A message of power, drownin' in fear.
(Chorus)
We crossed the line, between right and wrong,
From protectin' life to a slaughter song.
Between pride and lies, good and the grave,
A nation that buries what it should save.
We crossed the line, now the only way's ahead,
Through the mud and blood, where the innocent bled.
(Outro)
We crossed the line, but we'll find our way,
Forward together, come what may.
In this true north strong, we'll make it right,
For the birds and the brave, under endless night.
(instrumental outro)

WE CROSSED THE LINE
A Statement for the Record
In 2025, a flock of ostriches in British Columbia fell ill.
Not all of them. Not fatally. Some were recovering.
Some were never sick.
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) ordered them all killed.
No trial,
No hearing,
No testing.
No appeal,
No mercy.
The RCMP stood by.
Not to protect.
Not to investigate.
But to enforce silence.
To guard the slaughter.
To shield the state from scrutiny.
Witnesses saw what happened.
They photographed it.
They recorded the sounds.
They watched birds shot and left to suffer.
Some survived multiple gunshots. Men walked into the mud and the blood and cut the wounded birds heads off.
This was not biosecurity.
This was a message.
A demonstration of power.
A warning to anyone who might question the system.
We are told to trust the process.
But what process?
Where was the science?
Where was the compassion?
Where was the law?
We are told to believe in Canada.
But what is Canada, if not the sum of its actions?
We are the people who run this country.
Not the bureaucrats who hide behind acronyms.
Not the politicians who bow to them.
Not the enforcers who ignore their oath.
This was a turning point.
A line was crossed.
Between protection and persecution.
Between pride and propaganda.
Between Good and Evil.
Between a nation that values life, and one that buries it.
We crossed the line. The only way now is forward.
